We don't have enough players for two servers.
We're loosing a heap in the waiting to get the webclient back up and I think we should be fixing the webclient to allow more people to play and get used to the community before you just go into a massive reset and a reboot of the community that already was.
When you say heap, you mean a lot, right? But really, in retrospect, we had about an average of 10-20 a day? If we were to make it a full Spawn & PVP server, we'd average that in the first few days of advertisement. In about a week to two weeks in time, we'd average 40-50 perhaps? Most people come to RSPS to get stuff they couldn't get in Runescape, and get it fast. Allowing others to spawn, use stat commands and what not will draw in players more. For those that like skilling, have the second server alternative. Sound like another server we know that used to have a big ass average of players?
I have had some time trying to fix the webclient. It's not as easy as you think.
It's quite hard and if you think about it, it's quite impossible for us new coders.
So what me and Goth have been thinking of is getting a new server with a new source, switching the character files, and putting the old character files on the new server.
But we have to find a new server first, which is what I've been trying to do.
I've been trying to find a good Legacy source without the MySQL integrated, which Legacy is a fullout PvP server. And a new Legacy server would bring in players fast.
I will try to get a good server today.
