General Discussion / Drawing in Players (DiP)
« on: June 11, 2011, 12:20:06 pm »
This is a thread to post ideas on how to draw in players to the server (hence the title's name). I, myself, already have just a few ideas. Edit this post at anytime you get an idea. Just put your name beside the idea so we know who to give credits to.

Example:
Code: [Select]
Idea: blahblahblah - Cody
So here's the start.

Code: [Select]
Idea: Making a Facebook to get publicity for the server to get publicity. - Cody

Idea: The majority of us rely on ::voteforus, that way people can see our server voting part. People are active on forums,
as you see. So going to the voting site's forum, and posting an advertisement thread in the correct section, would bang some
people. Therefor them telling their friends, and so on. Example: Runelocus has it's voting part and it's forums. Posting an
advertisement thread will surely bring 5-10 more people in a day. - Cody

Clans / The Community
« on: June 06, 2011, 06:05:28 am »
This clan is all for the community. I'll host the clan whenever I am on. Any other staff members can host this as well. Lootshare will always be toggled on. There are no requirements for the clan. You can go here to ask questions in-game that you can't and/or won't ask via forums. All you have to do is log on, go to the clan chat icon, click 'Join', and type in 'Community'.

Now, before those of you who think I'm selfish by trying to give myself another 2 commands (you know who you are), go ahead and read the whole thing before you post.

I suggest giving Moderators the power to teleport to and and to teleport to me (::xtele, ::xteletome). Think about it, players may be in an emergency (stuck in a wilderness wall [kbd], etc), and there may only be one Moderator on to do something about it. The Moderator would have to ask where they were, then walk all the way there, and by then they could be dead and their items could be irreplaceable. Just a thought, I can take no for an answer :P.

Spam / Guides Website
« on: June 06, 2011, 12:53:51 am »
I needed a way to organize my guides. A way to benefit the other players and I. So instead of people needing to search for my guides, I made a website so hey can all be in one place. If you're ever needing to look for a guide, a decent one, you can click the link on this thread and/or the link in my signature.

Suggestons / Tabs?
« on: June 04, 2011, 01:11:51 pm »
I know this may be somewhat difficult to code, but can we at least give an attempt to try to code banking tabs? Like Runescape? My bank is super cluttered, and I'm sure I speak for all who like to keep their banks organized, that we need to try to add banking tabs.

Suggestons / Double EXP Weekend!
« on: June 02, 2011, 11:16:47 pm »
Now before I post this suggestion, @the people who know where this may have originated: This idea was not leeched from you know where, this actually came from Runescape. So don't go saying that I leeched this from the place.

--> Well the weekend is coming up, and our player count is beginning to stay the same. An average about 6 players per day. We need something that will bring more players in as they realize that the owners are active, and updates are frequently. So I suggest, starting tomorrow, double EXP weekend should start. This would apply with everything. Double EXP, double PC Points, double Slayer Points, double Mage Arena Points, etc. @Ethan: Don't close the thread, let people actually see it and vote on it before you do close it.

Cody's Eliminating JAD Guide!

Before We Get Started

NOTE: JAD is a difficult boss if you can't get your prayers timing right. For those with 70+ prayer, I would recommReaping the Victory Spoils[/center]
end non-agressive prayers with eagle eye. I also wouldn't recommend trying this without 43+ prayer.

How to Get to Your Destination

<->Getting to JAD is fairly simple. Just go to your spellbook, click the 'Minigames' tele, and choose 'Tzhaar Caves'.

Inventory/Wielding

Requirements: Atleast 70 Range.
A high Hitpoints level.
Defence is recommended (optional).
The ability to obtain super restores and ranged potions.
The coordination to know when to switch your prayers (getting to that in the next section).

NOTE: You don't have to have an inventory exactly like mine. I just recommend something similar.

<->The Rune c'bow is an absolute. You will need this item, along with bolts. Rune c'bow will keep you a distance from JAD so he won't use melee.

How to Fight JAD

<->JAD is a very complex/tricky boss. You don't know when he's going to attack with what. The hardest part is starting out. The hardest part is starting out. If you go in praying mage, sometimes he will use range at the start. He can hit 90's so you'll be screwed. The very beginning is based on luck to be honest.

<->There is a way to protect yourself from JAD. Keep your distance with your Rune c'bow (so he doesn't melee). Now, when he makes the GFX of Standing up, quickly switch to Protect from Range. When he makes the GFX of ducking his head, quickly switch to Protect from Mage.

<->To see more on how to fight him, just check out the video.

Reaping the Victory Spoils
<->If you come out alive. You'll recieve a fire cape. Fire cape is the only cape that will give you strength bonus.

Guides / ♥?99 Hunting Guide?♥

Cody's 99 Hunter! Guide.

Table of Contents

?Getting to Your Destination
?How to Hunt
?The NPCs and What They Look Like
?NPC Level Requirements
?NPC Experience Gainage
?Extras

Before We Get Started

○Hunter is mostly just trying to obtain the 99 Milestone. If you're looking to make big cash, you're at the wrong place. Hopefully in the near future, implings will be worth a decent and fair price. If you're expecting some Runescape wide massive hunting theme, you might as well forget about the whole thing.

Getting to Your Destination

○To get to the Hunter Training Zone location, you'll want to be at Home if you're not already there.

○Make your way over to the Zamorak Mage, talk to him, then select the 'Hunter' option.

○You'll arrive in a small area, contained by fences. The NPCs will be flying and fluttering everywhere.

How to Hunt

○Hunting is fairly easy. You just need to be patient. When you arrive, you'll be at the Gnomeball Arena. Click where the net is (should be next to you when you teleport) to recieve your butterfly net.

○In hunting, all you have to do is click the specified NPC. The skill will take some time to achieve 99.

Guides / And So We Begin a New Adventure!

Cody's In The Beginning! Guide

Table of Contents
1. Starting Anew
2. How To Make & Spend Money
3. Thriving n the FBS Community

________________

Starting a new account
1. When you log on, you will recieve a starter. The starter will provide you what you need for Melee, Ranging, and Magic. The starter will also give you a little boost for money. I will get to how you can spend it in the next section.

2(1/2). Now, unless you're a skiller, you'll want to start your training. NOTE: Only for those who decide at ::lowtrain (hill giants) --->. I don't recommend starting at Hill Giants, they can hit about an 8 out of your starting 10 Hitpoints. Go to the bank, it will be next to you when you spawn. Exchange the noted lobsters you get from your starter for un-noted. Then type in the command '::lowtrain'. That will direct you to the hill giants. At the hill giants they drop rune combat items, clue scrolls (medium), and some rune arrows (x150).

2(2/2). For those of you who do not wish to have to eat while during combat, I suggest you start out at Rock Crabs. Rock craps will not hit you, and they have a sustainable ammount of health. To get there go to your spellbook, for normal (which you should have) it will be the Varrock teleport.

How To Make & Spend Money
1. Skiller or not, you will want to make some money. NOTE: This is an optional way of making money (the way I did it). While being at Hill Giants, they tend to drop Clue Scrolls. Clue scrolls are not very rare, but their rewards can be worth it at times.

2. NOTE: You don't have to use a shovel to do these clues.

3. When you do your clues, you have a chance that you may not get anything. Usually your rewads can be 200k(200,000gp)-1m(1,000,000gp). While some can be complete duds. When you complete your scrolls (i'm not going to tell you the spots :p), you can sell them at the Shop Assistant near the altar at home.

Thriving in the FBS Community

1. Thriving is all about being able to make easy money, and being a very skilled player. There isn't much to this section other than ways on how you could thrive.

2. Skilling is a good way to thrive. The more 99 Skills you have, the more you are accomplished. Some skills will offer you money, and some will take your money. Slayer is a good skill to look in to if you can handle the tasks. It can train your combat, while you level your Slayer Skill.

3. Some skills won't give you but a very poor income. Hunter is one of those skills. The highest skilled thing you can hunt is a Dragon Impling(requires 90 Hunter). A Dragon Impling is worth 50 Coins. NOTE: THIS ALL MAY CHANGE IN THE NEAR FUTURE, SO IF YOU COME LATER ON, AND THIS IS WRONG, PLEASE DO NOT FLAME AT ME.

4. PKing is a good way to thrive. PKing can level up your stats, while (if you're able to) making money by killing other people.

That's it for now, stay in touch for some more guides! I plan to do some 99 Skill guides, and the upcoming Achievements.

I believe a re-introduction is in order. As you see, i've made an intro thread already, but didn't really explain myself very well.

I am Cody, a very good friend of Justin's. I plan to spend a butt-load of time on here now. Already pretty active. Can't wait to see the server in it's peak. Until then, i'll keep playing xD.
